Moments in the Park....

My daughter is learning to ride a bike with no training wheels, so we've been going to the park regularly. On sunday when we got there it started raining but we went back when it stopped. I was in a "particular mood" that day so I tried to canalize my emotions through my small Canon pocket camera... Let me share with you what I captured.....On the way back home looking at these photos my mood had changed.... This is what photography does to me.....

September has been FRIDA's organizing and sample production month. I've been ordering all kinds of samples, designing books, trying new products and working the layout for the holiday season. I came up with a great holiday promotion and awesome holiday card designs. I will be sending that out soon.

Sandwiches for the Homeless

My friend Mariana and I became part of a big group of women who take turns every week to make sandwiches for the Missionaries of Charity soup kitchen in downtown. Our task was to make 150 sandwiches, cut them in half and deliver them in time for the tuesday morning feeding. We couldn't stay for the feeding but the whole experience was nice and fulfilling. We involved the children as well to introduce them to the early concept of giving. We will definitely continue helping as we can with this organization and others. I love how these pictures came out... It was a rainy day but the sun came out just in time for our photo shoot. These two little guys had me running around (thanks for the exercise) we had lots of fun, we got wet, we sang fun songs, we played with the sand. As you can see in the photos we were all "just being ourselves" and that is what i like to capture, thanks to Natalie (the mom) for being so cooperative :)

KBCC Day School

I had the chance to help out with a "digital yearbook" for my kids school. I got to photograph all the classes at play and each of the students in the school. I loved the idea of portraying them inside their classrooms. What a show! This is Camila, she was a little bird on Shrek the Musical. I was a part of the show as well...we had soo much fun! We danced two numbers of Mamma Mia the musical. Vicky turned 15 and we were there to capture her memories. Nice arrangements at the Bonaventure Golf Club in Weston, FL were Vicky celebrated with family and friends. Vicky looked great with her white dress and demonstrated a nice loving personality. It was great to photograph her party. A special thanks to Andy which worked with me side by side on this special night :) and she is the one who took this beautiful photo.

March came and went with new props, re organizing the website and organizing my computer. Lots of files, lots of memories!! I went down memory lane myself reliving each photo shoot I had since I started. Lots of fun! Thank you all for trusting me with your memories!! I am also working on our new marketing campaign which will include a newsletter and lots of fun and new portrait packages with new and original products.

Finally! The long awaited trip to Arizona came. I attended Imaging USA 09 and it was AWESOME! Great speakers, (Anne Geddes among them) classes, workshops and a huge Expo which I didn't even have time to see everything, during the three days I attended. I met wonderful colleagues specially Andy from Miami, which I am sure we will be working on something together in the future. I came back with lots of ideas which you will be seeing and experimenting through out the whole year. I am very excited for this year and all the new and fun things we will be working on :)

December was a very busy month, it flew by with photo shoots, holiday cards, dvd slideshows and a couple of photo books. Thanks to all the clients that came to me for their photo needs.
