My friend Mariana and I became part of a big group of women who take turns every week to make sandwiches for the Missionaries of Charity soup kitchen in downtown. Our task was to make 150 sandwiches, cut them in half and deliver them in time for the tuesday morning feeding. We couldn't stay for the feeding but the whole experience was nice and fulfilling. We involved the children as well to introduce them to the early concept of giving. We will definitely continue helping as we can with this organization and others.
